Did you know that 21% of LGBTQ+ people experience loneliness every day?
15-Minute Friendships is a social project designed to combat loneliness within the queer community through free pop-up events.
Bridie (they/them) hosts each event that consists of a casual 15-minute one-to-one chat.
Come along and talk about anything you’d like, whether you’ve got a story to tell, want to practice your conversation skills, or just have some time to kill.
Accessibility:
This event is held at Our House, 96 Kirkgate, WF1 1TB
The centre has street-level access and is wheelchair accessible.
The toilet facilities have baby change and are wheelchair accessible.
The cafe serves both dairy and milk alternatives, and we offer a range of vegan and non-vegan snacks.
We are an alcohol-free and drug-free venue; anyone who brings drugs or alcohol into the centre will be asked to leave.
The cafe runs a ‘pay it forward’ scheme; if you can't afford a drink, please ask a team member, and they will be happy to tell you about it.
All the proceeds from our shop and cafe go to local queer and trans artists or to the upkeep of the centre.
