Ever wanted to try your hand at crochet? Come along and learn the basics in this free 4 hour workshop.
You’ll learn:
What crochet is
What sizes of hooks mean and how to hold them
What the different yarn weights mean
How the UK and US are a bit different
Stitches including slipknot, foundation chain and treble crochet
At the end of the session you’ll hopefully have your own tiny queer flag to take home and display. You’ll also have a great time!
All materials are provided.
Spaces are limited to ensure the facilitator can help everyone, so don’t delay in booking!
Accessibility:
This event is held at Our House, 96 Kirkgate, WF1 1TB
The centre has street-level access and is wheelchair accessible.
The toilet facilities have baby change and are wheelchair accessible.
The cafe serves both dairy and milk alternatives, and we offer a range of vegan and non-vegan snacks.
We are an alcohol-free and drug-free venue; anyone who brings drugs or alcohol into the centre will be asked to leave.
The cafe runs a ‘pay it forward’ scheme; if you can't afford a drink, please ask a team member, and they will happily tell you about it.
All the proceeds from our shop and cafe go to local queer and trans artists or to the centre's upkeep.
